Description
Crispy, cinnamon-sugar coated churro bites made quickly in the air fryer. Perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then mix in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 2-inch strips onto parchment paper, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly spray churro bites with cooking spray and air fry for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Toss warm churro bites in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a sturdy piping bag to prevent bursting.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
- For extra crispiness, spray lightly with oil before cooking.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 1 day.
