Description

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 3 medium apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch.
  3. Roll out puff pastry sheets and cut into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle. Seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush turnovers with beaten egg for a golden finish.
