Description

Easy homemade baked chocolate glazed donuts that are soft, fluffy, and topped with a rich chocolate glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 2-3 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, milk, yogurt, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine dry and wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Spoon batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Dip each donut into the glaze and let it set before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep donuts soft.
  • Adjust glaze thickness by adding more milk or sugar.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
