Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the oil and fry until golden, about 3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over fritters.
Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for best flavor.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying.
