Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in diced apples.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the oil and fry until golden, about 3 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels.
  7. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze, then drizzle over fritters.
