A hearty breakfast casserole combining fluffy biscuits, savory gravy, and crispy hashbrowns.
Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 package (20 oz) frozen shredded hashbrowns
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Stir in flour, then gradually add milk, salt, and pepper. Cook until thickened.
- Cut biscuits into quarters and place in the baking dish. Top with hashbrowns.
- Pour sausage gravy over the hashbrowns. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Use thawed hashbrowns for even cooking.
- Add diced onions or peppers for extra flavor.
