Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 medium carrot, grated
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 cups water or milk
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp chopped nuts or seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water or milk to a boil.
- Add rolled oats, grated carrot, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oats are cooked and creamy.
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup to taste.
- Top with chopped nuts or seeds if desired. Serve warm.
