Description

A creamy, silky dessert inspired by the sweet flavor of cereal milk with a hint of vanilla.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened cereal (such as cornflakes or frosted flakes)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons cold water


Instructions

  1. Soak the cereal in milk for 30 minutes, then strain to extract cereal milk.
  2. Bloom gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat cereal milk, cream, and sugar in a saucepan until steaming (do not boil).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and bloomed gelatin until dissolved.
  5. Pour into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  6. Serve chilled.
