Description
A light and fluffy cloud bread breakfast sandwich, perfect for a low-carb or gluten-free morning meal.
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 3 tbsp cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 2 slices of turkey or ham
- 1 slice of cheese
- 1 tbsp butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat the egg whites with baking powder until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix the egg yolks, cream cheese, salt, and honey (if using) until smooth.
- Gently fold the yolk mixture into the egg whites, being careful not to deflate them.
- Scoop the mixture onto the baking sheet, forming rounds about 3-4 inches in diameter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and firm.
- Let cool slightly, then assemble your sandwich with turkey or ham and cheese between two cloud bread rounds.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream instead of cream cheese.
