Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce served with cheesy twisted pasta.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz twisted pasta (fusilli or rotini)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and no longer pink inside (about 6-7 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sauce thickens slightly (about 3-4 minutes).
- Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Stir to coat with the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and mozzarella cheese. Mix well until the cheese melts.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if you prefer a lighter sauce.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
