Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 4 cups peeled and diced potatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in ham and potatoes, cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  7. Simmer for another 5 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve warm.
