Description
Crispy baked cauliflower tater tots are a healthy alternative to traditional potatoes. They’re easy to make and perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 medium head cauliflower, chopped into florets
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Steam cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain well and let cool.
- Place cauliflower in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
- Transfer cauliflower to a bowl. Add cheddar cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into small tater tot shapes and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Press out excess moisture from the cauliflower to prevent soggy tots.
- For extra crispiness, spray the tots lightly with oil before baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
