A creamy and delicious twist on classic toast, combining the richness of custard with the tang of yogurt for a perfect breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread (any type)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, egg, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Cut a well in the center of each bread slice, leaving a border to hold the custard.
- Spoon the yogurt mixture into the wells.
- Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Place the bread slices in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden.
- Carefully flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the custard sets.
- Serve warm with extra honey or fruit if desired.
Notes
- Use thick bread for better custard holding.
