Description

A creamy and delicious twist on classic toast, combining the richness of custard with the tang of yogurt for a perfect breakfast or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (any type)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, egg, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Cut a well in the center of each bread slice, leaving a border to hold the custard.
  3. Spoon the yogurt mixture into the wells.
  4. Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Place the bread slices in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden.
  6. Carefully flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the custard sets.
  7. Serve warm with extra honey or fruit if desired.
