Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in orzo pasta, diced tomatoes, beef broth, oregano, and basil.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese before serving for extra flavor.
