A simple and delicious appetizer featuring brie cheese wrapped in puff pastry with cranberries and pecans.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 wheel brie cheese (8 oz)
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Place brie wheel in the center of pastry.
- Sprinkle cranberries and pecans over brie.
- Fold pastry over brie and seal edges.
- Brush pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use kitchen shears to trim excess pastry.
- Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
- Substitute walnuts for pecans if preferred.
