Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add water and vinegar. Stir until dough forms. Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.
- Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a pan until browned. Add cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let cool.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough and cut into circles.
- Place filling on each circle. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

- Chill dough for easier handling.
- Use pre-made empanada discs to save time.
