Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the beef sauce. Serve with Parmesan cheese if desired.
