Description
A simple and quick ground beef stroganoff recipe that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup sour cream
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
- For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir into the simmering sauce.
- Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
