Description
A delicious Greek dessert made with honey, phyllo dough, and nuts.
Ingredients
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cloves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer phyllo sheets in a baking dish, brushing each with melted butter.
- Mix honey, nuts, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl.
- Spread nut mixture over phyllo layers.
- Top with remaining phyllo sheets, buttering each layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh phyllo dough for best results.
- Let pie cool completely before cutting.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
