Ingredients
- 1 round of brie cheese (8 oz)
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp cranberry sauce or fig jam
- 2 slices black olives (for eyes)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into thin strips.
- Place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread cranberry sauce or fig jam on top of the brie.
- Arrange puff pastry strips over the brie in a criss-cross pattern to create a mummy wrap effect.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden and cheese is soft.
- Add olive slices for eyes before serving.
