Description
A quick and easy stir-fry dish combining ground beef, broccoli, and a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat evenly.
- If using cornstarch, mix it with water and add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce is glossy and coats the ingredients.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken or turkey for beef.
- For extra crunch, add sliced bell peppers or carrots.
- Adjust honey and soy sauce to taste for preferred sweetness or saltiness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
