Description

A simple and flavorful shredded chicken dish made in the Instant Pot with salsa.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water or chicken broth


Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the Instant Pot.
  2. Add salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour in water or chicken broth.
  4. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing.
  5. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  6. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
  7. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the salsa sauce.
  8. Serve warm.
