Description

A delightful and easy-to-make dessert featuring sweet sticky rice topped with fresh mango and coconut milk.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 ripe mango, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain the rice and steam it for 20-25 minutes until tender.
  4. In a saucepan, heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Mix half the coconut milk mixture with the cooked rice and let it soak for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve the rice in small cups, top with mango slices, and drizzle with the remaining coconut milk.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.

  • Use ripe but firm mangoes for the best texture.
