Description
A delightful and easy-to-make dessert featuring sweet sticky rice topped with fresh mango and coconut milk.
Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 ripe mango, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain the rice and steam it for 20-25 minutes until tender.
- In a saucepan, heat coconut milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
- Mix half the coconut milk mixture with the cooked rice and let it soak for 10 minutes.
- Serve the rice in small cups, top with mango slices, and drizzle with the remaining coconut milk.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm mangoes for the best texture.
- Adjust sugar to taste.
- For extra flavor, toast the sesame seeds lightly before using.
