Description

Spiced chai cupcakes infused with warm flavors, perfect for tea lovers.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp strong brewed chai tea


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined. Stir in chai tea.
  5. Divide batter evenly among liners. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool completely before frosting.
