Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp strong brewed chai tea
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined. Stir in chai tea.
- Divide batter evenly among liners. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
