Description
Soft and chewy matcha crinkle cookies with a powdered sugar coating.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then coat in powdered sugar.
- Place balls 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For stronger matcha flavor, add an extra 1/2 tsp matcha powder.
- Dough can be chilled for 30 minutes if too sticky to handle.
