Description
A rich and creamy Indian dish made with tender chicken pieces cooked in a spiced tomato and butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken breast, cubed
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 400g tomato puree
- 200ml heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until soft.
- Add turmeric, cumin, garam masala, and chili powder. Stir for 30 seconds.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
- Pour in tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and garnish with cilantro.
- Serve hot with rice or naan.
Notes
- Adjust chili powder for desired spice level.
- Replace heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
- Marinate chicken in yogurt for extra tenderness.
