Description

A rich and creamy Indian dish made with tender chicken pieces cooked in a spiced tomato and butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 400g tomato puree
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until soft.
  3. Add turmeric, cumin, garam masala, and chili powder. Stir for 30 seconds.
  4. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and garnish with cilantro.
  8. Serve hot with rice or naan.

Notes

  • Adjust chili powder for desired spice level.
  • Replace heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free option.
  • Marinate chicken in yogurt for extra tenderness.
