Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp orange zest
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
- Add oil, buttermilk, eggs, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Stir in vinegar until just combined.
- Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Cool cakes completely before frosting.
