Description

A creamy and flavorful soup inspired by Outback Steakhouse, featuring a rich blend of onions, mushrooms, and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and mushrooms, sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, cheeses, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Cook on low heat until cheese melts and soup is smooth.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve hot.
