A creamy and flavorful soup inspired by Outback Steakhouse, featuring a rich blend of onions, mushrooms, and cheese.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and mushrooms, sauté until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly.
- Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened.
- Stir in heavy cream, cheeses, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook on low heat until cheese melts and soup is smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.

- For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce.
