Description

A rich and decadent Texas chocolate pecan pie that combines the flavors of chocolate and pecans in a sweet, gooey filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges.
  3. Spread pecans and chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
  5. Pour the mixture over the pecans and chocolate chips in the pie crust.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the filling is set.
