Description

A hearty and comforting soup featuring sausage and gnocchi in a rich broth.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 pack (16 oz) gnocchi
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  3. Pour in chicken broth, diced tomatoes, and seasonings.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add gnocchi and cook until they float to the top.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 2 more minutes.
  7. Serve hot.

  • Adjust creaminess by adding more or less heavy cream.
