Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


Instructions

  1. Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
  2. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add ice water until the dough comes together.
  4. Divide dough into two equal parts and roll each into a rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle cheese and bacon over one rectangle.
  6. Place the second rectangle on top and press edges to seal.
  7. Cut into smaller rectangles and crimp edges with a fork.
  8. Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
