Description
Savory chicken cooked in a creamy Asiago mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup grated Asiago cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown, about 6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic and mushrooms until softened.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir in Asiago cheese until melted.
- Return chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Asiago for best flavor.
- Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Serve over pasta or mashed potatoes.
