Description

A creamy and spicy twist on classic hummus with pumpkin puree and warming spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Adjust seasoning with salt, lemon juice, or spices to taste.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Use canned pumpkin puree or homemade roasted pumpkin.
  • For extra spice, add more cayenne pepper.
