Description
A creamy and spicy twist on classic hummus with pumpkin puree and warming spices.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Adjust seasoning with salt, lemon juice, or spices to taste.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
- Serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- Use canned pumpkin puree or homemade roasted pumpkin.
- For extra spice, add more cayenne pepper.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
