Description

Crispy, spicy vegan buffalo cauliflower bites that are a perfect appetizer or snack. They are easy to make and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp melted vegan butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to form a batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coat evenly, and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix hot sauce, melted vegan butter, and maple syrup.
  6. Toss baked cauliflower in the sauce until fully coated.
  7. Return to the oven for 5 more minutes to set the sauce.
  8. Serve warm with vegan ranch or dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, bake on a wire rack.
